Open Merit Local Candidates:

• 4 x photographs (3 attested on back and 1 on front).
• Attested copies of SSC & HSSC mark sheets or equivalent.
• Attested copy of CNIC or Form B.
• Attested copy of NUMS Entry Test result.
• In case of O-Level and A-Level or any foreign degree, attested copy of
            equivalence certificates will also be required.

Open Merit Foreign Candidates:

• 4 x attested photographs (3 from back and 1 from front).
• Attested copies of O-Level & A-Level statement of result mark sheet/transcript/result or equivalent foreign degree.
• In case of O-Level and A-Level or any foreign degree, attested copy of
  equivalence certificates will also be required.
• Attested copy of Passport / NICOP / residence permit, whichever is applicable.

MBBS

The five-year MBBS programme, accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), is a blend of biomedical and clinical sciences, which are traditionally required by medical graduates to meet the responsibilities of providing preventive as well as curative healthcare.

Clinical training is important at the respective departments of affiliated teaching hospitals: Military Hospital (MH), Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) including Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic Surgery, Radiotherapy, Urology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Neurosurgery, Cardiac Surgery, Radiology, Dermatology, Tuberculosis and Chest diseases, Cardiology, Neurology and Paediatric Surgery.

Eligibility Criteria:

• F.Sc (Pre-Medical) / A Level or Equivalent qualification
• Minimum score 60% aggregate marks (Matric / F.Sc (Pre-Medical) / A Level or Equivalent qualification).
• The University Entry Test

  Foreign/ Self finance

• SAT-II Exam with minimum 550 marks in biology, chemistry and either physics or mathematics or a foreign MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24 (as per PM&DC criteria).
• Equivalence by IBCC (in case of foreign qualification).
• All Pakistani Nationals including AJK / GB can also apply.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates applying for admission will have to submit:

1.   Completed application form

2.   Attested photocopies of Matric/O level/equivalent certificate (2 copies) with detailed marks sheet

3.   F.Sc/A level/ equivalent Certificate (2 copies) with detailed marks sheet

4.   Scores of NUMS entry test/SAT II (as applicable)

5.   Domicile certificate (2 copies)

6.   Attested photocopies of CNIC /B-Form (2 copies)

7.   Passport size and ID card size photographs (6 each)

ADMISSION PROCESS:

a). Form submission:

The completed application form with the required documents must be submitted either online (CIMS website www.cims.pk) or by hand in the admissions office CIMS.

b). Selection and short-listing:

Students are shortlisted on the basis of following selection criteria set by PM&DC and NUMS:

      (i)   Matric/ ‘O’ Level/ equivalent exam

      (ii)  F Sc/ ‘A’ Level/ equivalent exam

      (iii) NUMS entry test

c). Interviews:

Shortlisted candidates falling within merit will be assessed and interviewed before final selection. Interview will be structured including personality and aptitude test and assessment for mental and physical health.

d). Student registration:

Provisional merit list of the selected students will be displayed on the designated date on CIMS website and College Notice Board followed by fees submission.

Final merit list will be displayed once admissions process is completed, followed by fees submission and formal commencement of the academic session.

All students of CIMS will be registered with PM&DC by the CIMS authorities

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NUMS ENTRY TEST

Aptitude Test Instructions

This test will be conducted by the National University of Medical Sciences. It is a competitive test conducted by CMH Lahore Medical College. This test will be held tentatively in November 2015. Exact date, time and venue will be intimated through nationwide newspapers and our college website well before time. Test will be based on multiple choice formats, based on concepts of science / general subjects already taught in F.Sc. / A Level and General Intelligence. The result of the college aptitude test will be displayed on the college website (www.cmhlahore.edu.pk). Results will not be sent by mail. No result / amendment will be accepted after the last date of submission of application form.
(Note: For any last minute change in date / time and venue please visit the college website at least 2 x days before the exam date announced earlier).

NUMS Entry Test Instructions

You will be provided with a copy of these instructions before the test as well. Please read them carefully. The test consists of five sections:

• Separate instructions for each section are given at the beginning of that section.

• You should not continue to write after the invigilator asks you to stop writing.

• You will be disqualified on any evidence of cheating or non-compliance of instructions.

• You should not mark answers on the test booklet. Answer marked on the test booklet will not be evaluated.

• Before starting the test, you should write your admit card number, your name, and test booklet numbers on test answer sheet.

• Multiple choices will be given for each question; choose the most appropriate answers.

• You should shade the block for the appropriate answer with a black ball pen. You should be sure of your choice before shading the square on the answer sheet. Any crossing or multi shading will be treated as a wrong answer. Failure to comply with instructions will disqualify you. The square should be completely shaded.

• You are encouraged to answer all questions.

• There will be no negative marking.  

IMPORTANT

There are 100 questions in all and these are numbered serially from 01 to 100.

• You may decide to leave a question unanswered and plan to return to it later. Please remember the following:-

• - Return to the question you left unanswered before the time ends.- It is easy to miss sequential order of your answer by leaving blank space on the answer sheet for the unanswered questions. For example, you have answered question from 1 – 1 and you are not sure of the answer to question 11. You want to leave it blank to return to it later but want to answer question 12 first. Here it is possible that you may wrongly p l a c e the answer for question no. 12 in the square for question no. 11. Please make sure that you don’t make this mistake.
